The Main Factors Affecting the Demagnetization of NdFeB Products
1. Temperature:The magnetism of NdFeB permanent magnets is sensitive to temperature. When the temperature rises, the thermal motion of atoms intensifies, which will interfere with the orderly arrangement of magnetic domains and gradually weaken the magnetism.
2.External magnetic field:The reverse magnetic field is one of the important factors that lead to the demagnetization of NdFeB. If the strength of the applied reverse magnetic field exceeds the coercive force of NdFeB, the direction of the magnetic domain will change, resulting in demagnetization.
3.Mechanical stress:NdFeB materials are brittle and may have defects or cracks in their internal structure when subjected to mechanical shock, vibration, extrusion and other stresses. These defects will destroy the integrity and order of the magnetic domains, leading to local weakening of magnetism and demagnetization.
4. Corrosion:Certain components in NdFeB alloys (such as iron) are easily oxidized in the air, especially in humid environments or environments with corrosive gases, the corrosion rate will be accelerated.Corrosion will cause an oxide layer to form on the surface of the magnet, which will not only affect the appearance of the magnet, but will also gradually erode inwards, destroying the internal structure and magnetism of the magnet, leading to demagnetization.
